New Show at MFA Gallery

I just finished hanging a show at the Md Federation of Art Gallery at 18 State Circle, in Annapolis, MD. Show is open March 2 - 13, reception is March 6, 2011, 3-5 pm.  Come and visit! There are 12 artists showing work. Besides these paintings, there are 5 additional ones.

Today, March 13th, was take-down at the gallery. I am delighted to say that they sold three paintings for me. How very exciting!

Marrakesh

I had a chance to visit my painting this weekend. This couple will get to visit Le Jardin Majorelle in Marrakesh shortly. What fun! I hope they photograph themselves there.

County Cork Kilt

Irish tartans are newcomers in the kilt world. There is a tartan for every Irish county as well as Irish National Tartan. I think the county tartans are beautiful. Custom made kilt (they all are) for a young lawyer in Manhattan. Pleated to sett.

Clan Smith kilt

A rare view of the inside of a kilt in work. The upper part of the pleats is graded away to minimize bulk and to make the back of the kilt fit smoothly to the body. This area will be covered with interfacing for stability and then a smooth lining so there are no raw edges.

Clan Smith in modern colors.

The Winner!

The Fralec family

Sometimes I am asked to outfit a family for a special occasion. Here are shown Green Scott ancient colors, Red Scott modern colors and US Navy tartans.

Louisville Trolley Stop

A view of the trolley shelter at Aegon Center. Second in a series of signs. Oil on canvas. 16"x16".

This painting is currently on loan. It will be in the Md Federation of Art Melange II show in Annapolis, MD, March 2 - March 13, 2011.
